ib information evening   on november 3rd at 6:30pm, we will be holding an information evening for grade 11 & 12 students in the international baccalaureta programme and their parents.

picture retakes friday   if you’ve lost your student card you can bring in $5 and have a new picture taken. If you’ve purchased a photo package and wish to have a retake, you must bring in the photo package. you do not need to bring in your proofs if you haven’t yet ordered pictures but want a retake.

cafeteria   Thursday’s special is kiebasa, perogies and cole slaw.

spirit week   thursday:  costume day, pumpkin carving and costume contest at lunch

friday:  pj day with pillow fight and games in the caf.

safe grad   Safe Grad Committee will be selling kernel's popcorn on Friday at lunch outside the cafeteria.  A bag cost $2 and comes in four flavours: white cheddar, buttersalt, kettle corn, and caramel.

art house films   a new film is screened every wednesday at 4:30 in our theatre. There is a brief introduction by mr. white, and a group discussion will follow.

next week’s film is kapo. pick up a permission form in the drama room.

take our kids to work day   it’s  november 4^th. all grade 9 students have already received a permission form – it needs to be completed and returned to your english teacher asap.

arts wear   The Arts Department is bringing back the arts hoodie just in time for Christmas! Are you in band, choral, dance, drama, graphic tech, film studies, musical theatre or visual arts? You can have a customized arts hoodie with all of your arts proudly displayed on the sleeve. Interested? See your arts teachers or pick up an order form in the office. Payments and orders due Monday, November 23rd.

grad craft sale  grade 12s are reminded to sign up to volunteer for the craft sale november 21^st. sign up outside of room 207.

minneapolis arts trip   The Minneapolis trip has been approved and there are only 7 seats left on the bus!  they have to be filled by friday or the trip will cancelled. Those students enrolled in first or second semester Visual Arts, Graphic Tech, or Photography courses and are in Grades 10-12 can see Mrs. Teichroew or Mr. Cichosz for information. Deadline for submitting a deposit to go is Friday, October 30th.

post-secondary presentations   sign up outside of mr. fewer’s office to attend presentations by u of m and rrcc. you can also sign up for the university fair at sturgeon heights on november 5^th.

halloween dance   it’s october 29^th. tickets must be purchased in advance and will be available for $10 in front of the caf at lunch and after school.

volunteering   Any students looking for volunteer work and who would like to get a jump start on collecting their hours are asked to see Mr. Fewer for opportunities around the community.

volleyball   Congratulations to the JV Girls on a great team effort last night defeating Portage 3 sets to 0 to remain undefeated in league play.

girls hockey   Just a reminder that the girls have practice today at 3:30 pm and are to be dismissed at 3 pm.

boys hockey   congrats to the boys for their win last night. practice thursday at 4:45.
