yearbooks   if you still wish to purchase a yearbook for the 2015-16 school year, the last day to pay online is friday, october 23^rd.

art house films   a new film is screened every wednesday at 4:30 in our theatre. There is a brief introduction by mr. white, and a group discussion will follow.

next week’s film is young frankenstein, directed by mel brooks. pick up a permission form in the drama room.

wwaag    The Westwood Collegiate Arts Advisory Group will have their first meeting on Thursday, October 22/15 at 7pm in the school library. All parents with a student(s) in an arts program are encouraged to attend.

take your kid to work day   it’s november 4^th. all grade 9 students have already received a permission form – it needs to be completed and returned to your english teacher asap.

grad craft sale  grade 12s are reminded to sign up to volunteer for the craft sale november 21^st. sign up outside of room 207.

grad clothing   it’s on sale until next week in front of the office before and after school and at lunch.

minneapolis arts trip   The Minneapolis trip has been approved and there are only 11 seats left on the bus! Those students enrolled in first or second semester Visual Arts, Graphic Tech, or Photography courses and are in Grades 10-12 can see Mrs. Teichroew or Mr. Cichosz for information. Deadline for submitting a deposit to go is Friday, October 30th.

heart & stroke   there will be a zumba class thursday during period 5. students can pay their period 5 teacher $2 in advance in order to attend.

parent teacher conferences   they take place october 26^th. parents can go online to book appointments.

post-secondary presentations   sign up outside of mr. fewer’s office to attend presentations by u of w, u of m and rrcc. you can also sign up for the university fair at sturgeon heights on november 5^th.

halloween dance   it’s october 29^th. tickets must be purchased in advance and will be available for $10 in front of the caf at lunch and after school.

volunteering   Any students looking for volunteer work and who would like to get a jump start on collecting their hours are asked to see Mr. Fewer for opportunities around the community.

boys soccer   Boys soccer training postponed. the First game of the season is Friday, October 30th.  Come and see Mr. Aguirre for any other details.

ultimate   touring team players are to meet in the gym during period 6 if you have a spare, and at 3:30 if you don’t.

basketball   Workouts for boys interested in playing basketball this year begin today at lunch in the fitness centre. They begin at 12:05 and will finish at 12:45.

volleyball   Congratulations to the JV girls volleyball team on their win against St. Mary's last night.  It was a great team effort!

girls hockey   Just a reminder that there is practice today at 330. Girls are to be dismissed at 3pm

boys hockey   congrats again! our boys won 4-3 in overtime against jh bruns.
