we scare hunger   the ib cas students would like to thank everyone who donated food and who helped with the collection. check out the huge mountain of food in the front hall by the office – it will be picked up by winnipeg harvest tomorrow.

ib information evening   on november 3rd at 6:30pm, we will be holding an information evening for grade 11 & 12 students in the international baccalaurete programme and their parents.

art house films   a new film is screened every wednesday at 4:30 in our theatre. There is a brief introduction by mr. white, and a group discussion will follow.

this week’s film is kapo. pick up a permission form in the drama room.

take our kids to work day   is november 4^th. all grade 9 students have already received a permission form – it needs to be completed and returned to your english teacher asap.

arts wear   The Arts Department is bringing back the arts hoodie just in time for Christmas! Are you in band, choral, dance, drama, graphic tech, film studies, musical theatre or visual arts? You can have a customized arts hoodie with all of your arts proudly displayed on the sleeve. Interested? See your arts teachers or pick up an order form in the office. Payments and orders due Monday, November 23rd.

grad craft sale  grade 12s are reminded to sign up to volunteer for the craft sale november 21^st. sign up outside of room 207.

pottery club   The pottery club will meet at 3:30 in the art room.

minneapolis arts trip   The Minneapolis trip has been approved and there are only 7 seats left on the bus!  they have to be filled by friday or the trip will cancelled. Those students enrolled in first or second semester Visual Arts, Graphic Tech, or Photography courses and are in Grades 10-12 can see Mrs. Teichroew or Mr. Cichosz for information. Deadline for submitting a deposit to go is Friday, October 30th.

post-secondary presentations   sign up outside of mr. fewer’s office to attend presentations by u of m and rrcc. you can also sign up for the university fair at sturgeon heights on november 5^th.

faculty of engineering   Attention all Future Engineers at Westwood! The University of Manitoba is holding an Engineering Outreach Day on November 19th from 930 to 330. Students will tour the faculty and take part in fun physics activities, lunch is provided. Please see Mr. Fewer before November 10th if you are interested.

volunteering   Any students looking for volunteer work and who would like to get a jump start on collecting their hours are asked to see Mr. Fewer for opportunities around the community.

girls hockey   Congratulations to the girls hockey team who defeated garden city 4-1 on Friday. Goals were scored by Kyla who had two and Alicia who had the other two.  The girls play this Tuesday at oak bluff where they will take on shaftesbury.

boys hockey   the boys play at kw today at 4pm.   the need to be dismissed at 2:45.
