pep rally   it’s friday, october 16^th during 3^rd period. all fall teams must have music picked and ready by monday, october 12^th and give it to brynn todd, preferalbly on a phone. maximum performance length is 2 minutes.

vandalism   Any students with information regarding the recent vandalism in the boys bathroom are asked to speak to a school administrator or school counsellor.

U of m   If there are any students in grades 10 to 12 interested in Engineering at the University of Manitoba they can attend an Outreach Day Faculty of Engineering: On October 13 from 9:00am until 4:00pm These events serve to inform students about the engineering faculty and opportunities in the field. movie night   come out tonight at 7pm in our courtyard to see our first movie of the year, halloween town! westwood students only – no guests please. bring a chair and blanket. snacks are available for purchase.

champions cross-mentoring program   this is an opportunity to mentor grade 5 students about the struggles they may face. see mr. schmeichel or mrs. lundgren in the gym if you’re interested in participating.

aboriginal small business    mr. fewer will be hosting a speaker in his room friday at lunch to speak about aboriginal small business opportunities.

art house film night   the first film will be dr. strangelove, directed by Stanley Kubrick on wednesday, october 7^th at 4:30 in the theatre. parental permission is required so if you’re interested, check out the poster in the drama room and get a form.

volunteering   Any students looking for volunteer work and who would like to get a jump start on collecting their hours are asked to see Mr. Fewer for opportunities around the community.

graphing calculators   Students who rented a calculator from the math department are now able to pay for the rental online.  Please pay online ASAP.

cafeteria   cafeteria hours are 8-4.  next thursday’s specials are pickerel nuggets and bison burgers.

girls hockey   Good luck to our girls hockey team as they begin their  tournament today in Springfield.

Girls are to get any assignments or homework from their period 5 and 6 teachers.

volleyball   Congratulations to the JV Boys Volleyball team. They defeated John Taylor in a thrilling match 3-2. Well done boys. Good luck to the JV Boys at the Daniel MacIntyre tournament this weekend.
