cas students are asking their fellow
westwood student to contribute clothing to “my friend’s closet, a charity in
which teenagers help other teenagers by donating clothing that they would wear
themselves. either new or gently used, and no underwear or socks. there is a
donation box in front of the office. please donate by friday, november 20th.

anti-bullying week
This week is anti-bullying week and we
would like to put a positive spin on it.
Each day, we will challenge the student body with a small task.
On Friday we encourage everyone to take time to do
something you love to make you feel good about yourself.
transamerica on dec. 2nd,
westwood students united and the art house movie night will be showing the
movie “transamerica”. there are posters all around the school. there will be
free popcorn and all those who show up will get one free raffle ticket to enter
a draw for two movie passes. tickets are $1 or 3 for $2.
art house films a new film is screened
every wednesday at 4:30 in our theatre. There is a brief introduction by mr. white,
and a group discussion will follow.
next week’s film is edward scissorhands. pick up a
permission form in the drama room.
drama coffee house (open dialogue: some of the
things you wanted to know about life but were afraid to ask) continues tonight at 7pm. suitable for grades
9 & up. admission is $2 or $1 with a
food donation.
westwood arts hoodies Westwood Arts hoodie orders
are due Monday, November 23rd. Order forms are in the office. Hand them in with
payment to Mrs. Teichroew in the art room.
samples are available for sizing.
library Student current photo ID card is required in
order to sign out library materials and for requesting computer log in.
sources of strength Join the students of the
Sources of Strength in highlighting the “healthy activities” section of the SOS
wheel by writing your healthy activity on the large paper in the cafeteria.
grad craft sale our grad fundraising craft and
bake sale is tomorrow from 10-3. all are
welcome! grads are reminded that baking
donations are due today in the theatre.

battlefields trip There will be a very important
meeting on Friday, November 20 in Mr. Picknicki's room for all students
attending the WW1 Battlefields Trip this Spring Break. The meeting will begin promptly at 12:05pm.
volunteering Any students looking for
volunteer work and who would like to get a jump start on collecting their hours
are asked to see Mr. Fewer for opportunities around the community.

volleyball JV Girls start
Provincials today at 6:00 pm against River East at Garden City. There will be a
team meeting today at 12:05 in the cave.
Good luck to the varsity girls volleyball team as
they compete in the first round of provincials today at 2:00 vs. Glenlawn.
girls hockey Good luck to
our girls hockey team as they take on Vincent Massey today. Girls are to be dismissed at 2:20pm for their
game.
BOYS HOCKEY CONGRATS TO
OUR BOYS FOR THEIR 4-0 WIN OVER LORETTE LAST NIGHT.HAD THE SHUTOUT. HE’S
LEADING IN SHUTOUTS AND GOALS AGAINST AVERAGE. CONGRATS TO BRODY WHO LED THE
TEAM WITH 2 GOALS.
