cas students are asking their fellow
westwood student to contribute clothing to “my friend’s closet, a charity in
which teenagers help other teenagers by donating clothing that they would wear
themselves. either new or gently used, and no underwear or socks. there is a
donation box in front of the office. please donate by friday, november 20th.

This week is anti-bullying week and we
would like to put a positive spin on it.
Each day, we will challenge the student body with a small task. Today we encourage you to compliment someone
who's not a friend of yours.
art house films a new film is screened
every wednesday at 4:30 in our theatre. There is a brief introduction by mr. white,
and a group discussion will follow.
this week’s film is citizen kane. pick up a permission
form in the drama room.
job opportunity There is a job opportunity
at the Holiday Inn Airport West for a Recreational pool and playarea
supervisor. Please see Ms. Sheldon for
more information. Applicants must be at
least 16 years old.
drama coffee house (open dialogue: some of the
things you wanted to know about life but were afraid to ask). it’s november 19th
and 20th at 7pm. suitable for grades 9 & up. admission is $2 or $1 with a food donation.
grad craft sale it’s coming up on november
21st. grade 12 students are reminded that they are asked to
contribute baking for the bake sale – it’s due november 20th in the
morning.

are due Monday, November 23rd. Order forms are in the office. Hand them in with
payment to Mrs. Teichroew in the art room.

wheel by writing your healthy activity on the large paper in the cafeteria.

fundraiser form.
battlefields trip There will be a very important
meeting on Friday, November 20 in Mr. Picknicki's room for all students
attending the WW1 Battlefields Trip this Spring Break. The meeting will begin promptly at 12:05pm.
volunteering Any students looking for
volunteer work and who would like to get a jump start on collecting their hours
are asked to see Mr. Fewer for opportunities around the community.

volleyball Congratulations to the Varsity Girls volleyball team
for playing an amazing game and defeating Miles Mac last night in 5 sets. The girls have earned a spot in provincials
and begin competing on Friday. Great job!
The JV Girls enter the Provincials this week ranked
fourth and play River East this Friday at 6:00 at Garden City. Also, congratulations to Jordan and
Jayda for being selected WWAC All-Stars.
girls hockey there is
dryland today at 240 pm. The girls’ next
game is Wednesday at 2:45 at River Heights Arena where they play Kelvin.
boys hockey congrats to the boys for
their 3-1 win over shaftesbury last night. sean robinson recorded a hat trick.
intramurals 1 X 1 basketball continues today in the gym. polo
will start thursday.
