senior shirt initiative   Student shirt initiative (class of 2017).  Several grade 11 students will be conducting a vote for senior shirt design for next year.  Look for them at lunch outside the office Friday and Monday.

 

exam schedule   pick one up in the office or view online.  conflicts to mr. valentim.

 

convocation comments   the deadline is past due but there are still a lot of grads who haven’t handed their comments in. pick up a blank form from the office.

 

safe grad   parents of Grade 12 students are asked for a donation, either monetary or prizes, for the silent auction at safe grad. donations can be dropped off in our school office, preferably by june 15th

 

grad dinner tickets are now available on-line to purchase, please pay and bring your receipt to pick your table. you can select your seats May 31 (A-L) and June 1st (M-Z).

 

grad   congrats to kara gross who will be presenting a toast to the teachers at grad.

 

dance advanced auditions are this saturday from 9-11am. please make sure you have signed up in the office or spoken to mr. toms.

 

volunteer opportunity   fort whyte alive is looking for camp counsellors. Check student services for more information.

 

dancescapes    it takes place june 12 at 7:30 pm at mtyp at the forks. tickets are available on the school website.

 

WSU   The WSU May Mental Health Month Art Competition has now started! See the bulletin board outside the art room for details! Contest due date is Friday, May 27th.

 

assignments   the last date to hand in assignments is june 10.

 

online phys ed   hours are due to mr. sdrolias asap.

 

westfest is may 27th   Today at Westfest students will be able to bid money on teachers doing some hilarious things such as shaving heads, shaving eyebrows, getting make-up put on them and eating some weird and "unique" food! staff members included are Mr. Alexiou, Mr. Soulatzkoff, Mr. Hiebert, Ms. Krecsy, Ms. Wake, Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. Dohie, and many more! Starting bids for Mr. Soulatzkoff's eyebrow-shaving are already at $40! So bring lots of money tomorrow because it is all going to charity and a great cause.

food will be available, cash or debit.

community service hours   Grade 12 students applying for awards and scholarships are reminded to submit their community involvement activity log forms.  Students need 40 hours logged to qualify for a St. James-Assiniboia Diploma.  Log forms are available in the office and, when signed by supervisor, can be returned to the office.

 

Any students wanting to volunteer at the Teddy Bear picnic on May 29th can see Ms. Sheldon to sign up. 

 

boys rugby   Boys rugby team plays Friday on fields 1 and 2 at Maple Grove Rugby Park beginning at 4:45.

 

girls hockey   Anyone interested in trying out for next year will be encouraged to take part in workouts starting Monday may 30 at 330 in the fitness centre.

sports awards banquet   The 2016 Athletic Awards Banquet will be on Tuesday, June 7th at 4:30pm in the theater. After the formal awards presentation, a meal provide by Calabria Market will be held in the cafeteria. Tickets are $10 and can be picked up in the school's main office. If you have paid your athletic fee, then your coach from the team you played on earliest in the year will have you ticket. Participation certificates, Warrior Participation Awards, scholar athlete recognition, camp scholarships, 2 awards per team and major awards will be handed out.

 

sports camp scholarships   any athletes looking to apply for a sports camp scholarship are asked to pick up an application form in the office.  deadline is next wednesday.

 

track   congrats to our jv girls for winning the conference championship for the first time in our school’s history. good luck to the team as they travel to provincials in brandon.
