grade 12 meeting   There will be a very important information session for all grade 12s who have been accepted into the U of W and the U of M on Thursday May 19th.

This is an essential meeting to prepare future students for their first semester in university and all those who have been accepted should attend.

convocation comments   the deadline is past due but there are still a lot of grads who haven’t handed their comments in. pick up a blank form from the office.

safe grad   parents of Grade 12 students are asked for a donation, either monetary or prizes, for the silent auction at safe grad. donations can be dropped off in our school office, preferably by june 15th

grad dinner tickets are now available on-line to purchase, please pay and bring your receipt to pick your table.

paint night   our next fundraiser is wednesday, may 25 from 7-9 pm in the art room.  cost is $30, first come, first served. reserve your spot by emailing to kzapotochny@sjsd.net.

dancescapes    it takes place june 12 at 7:30 pm at mtyp at the forks. tickets are available on the school website.

drama   grade 9 drama general is in the cave until wednesday.

WSU   THE CANDLELIGHT VIGIL WILL TAKE PLACE TUESDAY MAY 17^TH AT 7:00PM IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL.  meet at lunch wednesday in 112.

flowers will be sold at lunch for $2 – all proceeds go to canadian mental health association.

Join the WSU for Mental Health Month for a session of Yoga and Meditation on Thursday, May 19th in the Cave at lunch.

The WSU May Mental Health Month Art Competition has now started! See the bulletin board outside the art room for details! Contest due date is Friday, May 27th.

community service hours   Grade 12 students applying for awards and scholarships are reminded to submit their community involvement activity log forms.  Students need 40 hours logged to qualify for a St. James-Assiniboia Diploma.  Log forms are available in the office and, when signed by supervisor, can be returned to the office.

Any students wanting to volunteer at the Teddy Bear picnic on May 29^th can see Ms. Sheldon to sign up. 

boys rugby   Boys Rugby teams play today beginning at 4:45.  Games will be held on fields 3 and 4.

sports awards banquet   Any student who played on a sports team this year please is to see your coach for your sports banquet ticket.  Please see the coach you played for first!

beach volleyball   There will Beach volleyball practices Tuesday and Thursday this week at 3:30.  You must have your permission forms and money in by Thursday's practice or else you will not be able to play.
