dancescapes   it’s sunday, june 14^th at 7:30pm at the mtyp theatre at the forks. tickets are $12, and available in our school library.

pride parade   Students wanting to march with the GSA in the Pride Parade, Sunday, June 14th, can order a t-shirt in the art room by the end of classes Tuesday. Shirts will be $15.00 each, so please bring cash when you place your order.

grad dinner tickets   students/parents can go online to purchase tickets. go to our school website, and follow the schoolcashonline link.

drive application   pick up an application form in the office, if you want to be part of our drive leadership team next year. They are due back to mr. shoesmith or ms. overby by june 3.

westfest   there will be a meeting today at noon in the theatre for all those who have signed up to perform.

blood donors needed   The last blood donor opportunity for this year will be Tuesday, May 26th. The shuttle bus pick up will be at 12 noon and we will return at approximately 2:30.  Donors must be at least 17 years old and in good health.  Please sign up to save someone's life!  Permission forms are in the office.

grad   if you weren’t at the grade 12 grade level meeting, pick forms up in the office.

europe   All students going on the Europe trip please see Mr. Picknicki Tuesday at noon in room 214.  You will be receiving your fundraiser tickets.  It is important you attend.

mrs. nemetchek’s gr.11 ib math class   report to room 115 at 11am tuesday to write your practice exam.

galapagos trip   students are reminded to get their pictures to mr. shoesmith asap.  slideshow and windup on the 28^th.

gsa   The GSA is hosting an art contest for all Westwood students. The topic is "endorsing equality and acceptance" and the prize is a $30.00 Subway card. See the posters around the school, or stop by the art room for more details. Contest deadline is June 1st.

visual and graphic arts   All first semester Visual Arts students who had artwork in For the Love of the Arts can pick up their work in the art room.

Students who took Graphic Technology and had their works held back for displays can pick up their artwork in room 210 by Friday, May 22. After that date the work will be recycled or donated to interested parties.

Ultimate   Congratulations to the ultimate team for their third place finish in provincials on the weekend.  The team played well but lost a close game in the semi final.  They turned it around in the last game to beat Westgate by a sizeable margin.  Players are reminded to pay for their clothes ASAP.

Envirothon   Congratulations to the Envirothon teams for their strong placement in this weekend's competition.  The grade 12 team received excellence in soils and the grade 11 team received excellence in forestry.  Team members who have not paid are reminded to get their money to Mr. Shoesmith ASAP.

DRIVE   The last DRIVE meeting of the year will take place today in room 121 at lunch.  Any students interested in DRIVE leadership for 2015-2016 should submit their application form to the office in the next week.

athletic camp scholarships   Any grade 9, 10 or 11 Westwood athlete who is planning on attending an athletic camp or compete on a provincial team over the summer is eligible to receive 1 of 4 cash scholarship. Please pick up an application form in the office. Forms are due to Mr. Schmeichel by today.

athletic banquet   it’s Monday, June 8^th at 4:30. If you’ve paid your $40 athletic fee, you can get a complimentary ticket from mrs. sheldon. If you haven’t paid your fee, tickets are $10 from the office.

boys rugby   Reminder to boys rugby team that there is a game today at Maple Grove Rugby Park.

track   Congratulations to the track team on a great performance at the conference meet on Friday.  There were many personal bests and a lot of athletes moving on to Provincials.  A special congratulations goes out to the following athletes who are conference champions in their respective events:
