tabs for harley   we’re collecting can tabs for harley, a little boy in our neighbourhood who needs a wheelchair. bring them in to the office.

student parking  beginning tuesday, only students who have paid for parking and received a parking pass from the office are eligible to park in the student lot.

caf   tuesday – tacos, Wednesday – pasta with caesar salad with parfait for dessert, Thursday – perogies, keilbasa, friday – fingers and fries.

gsa   The Gay Straight Alliance will be meeting after school on Tuesday in the art room. Everyone is welcome!

walk!!  Mr. Soulatzkoff is challenging Westwood to walk 100 miles this year! You can walk inside or outside, a little at a time or a bunch all at once--prizes, T-shirts and a celebration lunch will be given to successful Walkers! See Mr. S. in room 212 for details.

galapagos trip   parent meeting wednesday at 5:30.  there will be a fundraising bbq wednesday in the parking lot. hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available.

remembrance day   Any cadets interested in participating in this year's Remembrance Day service are to see Mr. Braun in the Office.

culture club   The meeting scheduled for the culture club had been changed to Tuesday, September 23 at 3:30 in room 104. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Overby.

run for the cure   still need 8 students to sign up by friday for the run october 5. see mr. shoesmith in 219 for more info.

drive   dress and talk like a pirate day on friday.  top costume will receive two tickets to the dance.

in support of the jv girls volleyball tournament, we are throwing a tailgate party sept. 26^th from 3-6. there will be food, games and music.

movie in the courtyard this friday! “the goonies” starts at 8 pm. bring your own chair or blanket – food will be available to buy.

yip   the first meeting is tuesday after school at 2:50 in student services.

improv   auditions will continue after school Wednesday and Thursday this week. sign up outside of the drama room.

dance company auditions   will be at 3:30 wednesday in the dance studio.

volunteers needed   for a rummage sale put on by anavets in october. see ms. bennett if you’re interested. volunteer hours will be awarded.

cheerleading   Tryouts for Cheerleading will begin on Tuesday Sept 16 at 2:45.  Please meet in the Cafeteria.  If you are unable to make this time and still want to try out see Mrs. Nemetchek  in Room 115.

soccer  There will be boys and girls soccer try-out practices this week - Tuesday at 3 and Thursday at 3:45.

Please plan to attend as the teams will be decided this week.

girls hockey  Congratulations to our girls hockey team who beat Springfield 7-1 in their exhbition game yesterday.  Just a reminder that jerseys will be handed out today at lunch in room 217 and that there is dryland at 2:40pm in the fitness center.
