DRIVE student leadership group   anyone interested in being part of the 2014-15 drive student leadership group, please pick up a form from ms. overby or mr. shoesmith. forms are due back by april 30th.

 

bake sale   today through friday at lunch for our sponsored child in uganda. it’s his birthday on friday and we’re almost at our $1000 goal for the year.

 

community service   Those grade 11 students interested in being eligible for the 2013-2014 United Way Community Service award should indicate so in writing to Mr. Braun by April 30. see the information posters around the building.

Students who are looking for volunteer hours have an opportunity to volunteer with the Teddy Bear's Picnic on May 25th.

TADD mock crash   may 12 – students are asked to not park in the student parking lot.

 

yip   There will be a short YiP meeting on Wednesday at 3:30 to complete the presentation and to pick up permission forms for the Year End Celebration.  Please meet in student services.

 

gsa   GSA Hunger Games is taking place this Thursday from 5-7PM. If you have signed up to attend please bring your $5.00 pizza money to Mrs. Teichroew. Students who wish to take part in this event need to see Mrs. Teichroew asap to sign up.

 

cafeteria   Wednesday – pasta, caesar salad with cupcakes, thursday – sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, friday – fingers and fries.

 

safegrad applebees pancake breakfast   it’s on may 24th from 8-10am at the applebees on grant. tickets are $10 – available in the office.

grads can sign up outside of 207 to volunteer at the breakfast or the grad car wash.

 

grad committee   for next year – grade 11s can pick up an information form outside of 207.

 

volunteer opportunity   winnipeg lost dog alert is hosting an event on Saturday, May. 3rd from 11am - 4:00 and needs students to volunteer. see ms. bennett for more details.

 

athletes of the week  Congratulations to Amy and Christine who have been selected as this weeks MHSAA athletes of the week. They are undefeated in league and tournament play this season, we wish them good luck at this weeks provincials as they will be listed as the #1 seed.

 

boys soccer   There will be a soccer try-out at 15:45 at Sansome School soccer field. All interested in playing outdoor soccer are expected to attend. Please see the full soccer training schedule posted outside Rm. 209.

Ultimate   Good luck to the Westwood Ultimate team as they travel to Montreal for the Canadian High School Ultimate Championships this weekend. All players should see Mr. Shoesmith at some point today.

 

girls hockey   Anyone looking for volunteer hours or wanting to make a few bucks ($30.00/game) are to see Mr. Hiebert in room 217. We are looking for time keepers and students to play music at home games next year.

 

girls soccer   Girls soccer practice today at 3:45 - 5.  Please meet out the bandroom doors at 3:45.

 

girls rugby   girls rugby will be practicing outside Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30  

 

boys rugby   Members of the boys rugby team are to pick up an information package from the Office today.

 

basketball   there will be a mandatory meeting for all boys interested in playing basketball next year at lunch today in room 213.

 

online phys ed   All grade 11 & 12 online Phys Ed student's hours are due by next Friday, May 9th. Grade 12 to Mr. Thiessen and grade 11 to Mr. Sdrolias.

 

outdoor track   tuesday mornings and Wednesday and Thursday after school.

 

floor hockey   tribe vs eom2, bender central vs eom3

 

beach volleyball   There will be a meeting on Wednesday at 12:03 in room 113 for all athletes interested in competing in the beach volleyball tournament on May 23-24.  If you are unable to attend but are interested in playing, please see Ms. Reimer

 

peace gardens athletic camp   any athletes interested in attending this summer – there are information sheets available in the office.
