parent-teacher conferences   they take place this thursday from 4-7 pm. parents can go to our website for the link to book appointments.  students are encouraged to attend with their parents.

 

DRIVE student leadership group   anyone interested in being part of the 2014-15 drive student leadership group, please pick up a form from ms. overby or mr. shoesmith. forms are due back by april 30^th.

 

rrcc   There is an information session being held at Red River College for students who are interested in Nursing or Business Admin on Wed, Apr 23rd from 6:00 -8:00 at the Notre Dame campus.  Please see Ms Bennett for more details.

 

community service   Those grade 11 students interested in being eligible for the 2013-2014 United Way Community Service award should indicate so in writing to Mr. Braun by April 30. see the information posters around the building.

blood donor clinic   there will be a shuttle april 24 at 11 am for anybody wanting to donate. You must be 17. permission forms are in the office.

women and equality   Women and equality in the workforce - do you know your rights? There is a great conference sponsored by LEAF Manitoba on Mon. Apr 28 on this topic. Is this an important topic? Yes! Is it something you should learn about Yes! See Ms. Mccormick in Student Services for a permission form, limited to 4 participants.

 

safegrad applebees pancake breakfast   it’s on may 24^th from 8-10am at the applebees on grant. tickets are $10 – available in the office.

 

volunteer opportunity   winnipeg lost dog alert is hosting an event on Saturday, May. 3rd from 11am - 4:00 and needs students to volunteer. see ms. bennett for more details.

 

chicago   Students who participated in Chicago trip can bring their photos on a USB stick to Mr. Cichosz in room 210. Make sure you preview your photos ahead of time and bring only those you want to share with others. The deadline for submitting photos is Monday, April 21. After that date Mr. Cichosz will compile all photos and create a DVD that can be pre-ordered for $2. The ordering deadline is Monday April 28.

 

fitness make up times   Fitness make up times are Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch (see Mr Schmeichel) and Thursday after school (see Ms. Sheldon).

 

boys soccer   There will be a soccer try-out Wednesday at 15:45 at Sansome School soccer field. All interested in playing outdoor soccer are expected to attend. Please see the full soccer training schedule posted outside Rm. 209.

badminton   congratulations to Christine and Amy & Brady and kurtis Brakel for winning doubles gold medals at divisionals last night. And also congrats to Josh and Peter for winning silver.  Good luck to all 3 teams at provincials in 2 weeks.
