volunteer opportunity   winnipeg lost dog alert is hosting an event on Saturday, May. 3rd from 11am - 4:00 and needs students to volunteer. see ms. bennett for more details.

 

cas   there is a meeting thursday at lunch in the ib lounge for cas members about brave the shave.

 

safeteen   Safe Teen will be here Thursday and Friday this week doing presentations for all gr 10 students. All grade 10 students will be split into 4 male and 4 female groups. Group 1 will be Thursday morning during periods 2 and 3, group 2 will be all Thursday afternoon, group 3 will be Friday morning and group 4 will be friday afternoon.  Please check in front of the office which group you are in (it will be alphabetically). girls will be in room 121 and boys in 215.

 

tadd   there will be a TADD meeting on Wednesday April 16th at noon.  Pizza will be provided.

 

yip   The next Youth in Philanthropy meeting will be next Tuesday morning at 8:15.  Please plan to attend as we will be planning our year end celebration.

 

bake sale   there will be a bake sale friday at lunch to raise money for gowns for grads. you will also be able to purchase tickets for the fundraising steak dinner at that time.

 

flota    The Westwood Collegiate Arts Advisory Group is pleased to present” P.O.P. Goes the Arts!” For Love of the Arts Student Showcase on Monday, April 14th, 2014 at Westwood Collegiate.

This year, there will be assigned seating, $13 per ticket, $90 for a table of 8. Tickets will go on sale in the library on Monday, March 10th, 2014. The Gallery will open at 5:30PM, doors to the gym will open at 6pm, the show will start at 7pm. There will be a 50/50 draw as well as a door prize! Light refreshments will be provided.

badminton   doubles teams will be dismissed at 3:15 for games at shaftesbury. singles practice at 3:30.

 

Volleyball   There will be a quick meeting for ALL junior varsity and varsity girl volleyball players on Thursday in room 113 at 12:03.  If you are unable to attend the meeting please see Ms. Reimer before then.

boys soccer   Spring is upon us and it is time to think about outdoor soccer.  All boys interested in playing soccer this year for Westwood should sign up on the sheet posted outside room 209.  Also, in conjunction with the outdoor season, we will be starting a running club on Thursdays at 3:45.  The Soccer Running Club sign up sheet is also outside room 209.  Any questions contact Mr. Aguirre or Mr. Edwards.
