Chicago tour   All students attending the Chicago Arts Tour need to visit the art room asap and sign up for mastery workshops.

 

blood donor clinic there will be a shuttle taking students 17 or older to the blood donor clinic downtown on february 27^th. pick up a permission form in the office. return signed forms to the office asap.

 

the great escape   ib students – get your money in asap. bus seats are limited.

 

mental health first aid   peer support or gsa members who are interested in attending mental health first aid training should pick up a permission form in the office.

 

chicago tour    There will be a parent meeting at 7PM, on Wednesday, February 26th in the school theatre. We will share the itinerary, emergency contact numbers, pertinent information and the insurance package with students and parents involved. Please let other parents you know about the meeting so we have a good turnout.

 

cafeteria   tuesday – tacos and mexitots, Wednesday – pasta with caesar salad and brownies, thursday – lasagna.

 

grads   any students who didn’t turn in convocation and yearbook forms need to hand them in to ms. walterson asap. blank forms are in the office.

 

the event   event tickets are on sale before school, at lunch and after school in front of the office. ticket prices are as follows;  $15 for reserved on the floor, $12 for reserved inside the catwalk, and $10 in the balcony. Cash or cheques payable to westwood safe grad.

please get your “second half slips” in to the office by friday.

jvg basketball   Congratulations to the jv girls basketball team on their 48-43 win over Vincent Massey. With the win the girls clinched first place in the conference. The girls will play in the semi final at 3 o'clock on Tuesday. Way to go girls!

 

JV Boys basketball Practice is Wednesday 3:30-5:00.

 

vb basketball   Their last regular season game is this Wednesday at Westwood right after school against St. John's. Come and support your team!

 

girls soccer   Teachers please dismiss the girls soccer team today at 3:00  

 

girls hockey   Congratulations to the girls hockey team who took a one nothing series lead beating Beliveau 6-1. Goals were scored by Nikki, Holly, Emily, Lauren, and Haley who had two.  Alicia had three assists in the game as westwood out shot them 35 to 8.

 

The girls try to sweep the series today at 2:30pm at keith bodely.  Girls are to report for attendance and can then be dismissed. Just a reminder that there is a team lunch today, lunch is provided.

 

badminton   there will be a badminton team practice at 8:20 pm tonight. See mr penning in room 117 if you have yet to sign up.

 

Indoor Track practice will be Thursday at 3:30.
