Chicago tour   All students attending the Chicago Arts Tour need to visit the art room asap and sign up for mastery workshops.
 
job opportunity     st. charles golf club is looking for help in the golf shop/outside services. come to the office for more info.
 
westwood wear   it will be on sale at lunch in front of the office.

 the great escape   ib students – get your money in asap. bus seats are limited.

 mental health first aid   peer support or gsa members who are interested in attending mental health first aid training should pick up a permission form in the office.
 
cafeteria   thursday – lasagna.

grads   any students who didn’t turn in convocation and yearbook forms need to hand them in to ms. walterson asap. blank forms are in the office.

 the event   tickets are on sale before school, at lunch and after school in front of the office. ticket prices are as follows;  $15 for reserved on the floor, $12 for reserved inside the catwalk, and $10 in the balcony. Cash or cheques payable to westwood safe grad.

please get your “second half slips” in to the office by friday.

football   Students who are interested in playing Midget Football with either the Fort Garry Lions or St. James Rods should see Mr. Braun for information about registration.

grade 9 boys basketball   please meet with mr. valentim in front of the office today at lunch.

jvg basketball   Congratulations to the jv girls basketball team on their 48-43 win over Vincent Massey. With the win the girls clinched first place in the conference. The girls will play in the semi final at 3 o'clock on Tuesday. Way to go girls!

JV Boys basketball Practice is Wednesday 3:30-5:00.

 vb basketball   a big thankyou goes out to all of the staff and students who came out to support the varsity boys last night in their last regular season game the boys played some of the best team basketball of the season and fought hard throughout the whole game.  the boys will play in the quarterfinals this monday at a location to be determined.
 
Girls soccer   Teachers please dismiss the girls soccer team today at 3:00  

ultimate   practice 8-9:30pm Thursday evening

girls hockey   Congratulations to the girls hockey team who advanced to the semi-finals beating beliveau 9-0 the girls dominated every aspect of the game.  emily h had 3 goals and 1 assist, nikki l had 2 goals and 3 assists, haley p had 2 goals  avery b had 4 assists alicia p had 3 assists, chelsea z, lauren f had a goal each.  practice today at 4:00

 badminton   there will be a badminton team practice at 8:20 pm tonight. See mr penning in room 117 if you have yet to sign up.
 
Indoor Track practice will be Thursday at 3:30.

 Improv  the manitoba improv league semi finals finishes tonight in the theatre at 7:00 come support your improv team.

 YIP    there will be a meeting tomorrow morning at 8:00 am.  this will be the last day that jets raffle tickets will be on sale today at lunch.
 
pep rally    wear your westwood gear tomorrow as we will be celebrating the achievements of our amazing symphonic and concert bands, our curling teams and boys hockey team in addition to amping up our spirit for the choral groups, girls hockey team and all of our basketball teams as they head into playoffs next week.  get ready weswtood, we are going to tear the roof off the gym.
