cafeteria   Wednesday – pasta with caesar salad, frozen treats for dessert, Thursday – soup and hot or cold sandwiches, friday – fingers and fries.

 

improv   there is a show Thursday night at 7 pm in the theatre.

 

band   Congratulations to mr. edwards and the Gr 10-11 Concert Band for their wonderful performance at the Optimist Festival last night.  Members of the audience, parents and adjudicators were very impressed with their excellent sense of musical style and character.  Great job students!

there is no intermediate jazz today.

 

cas   there is a meeting today at lunch in room 219.

 

national math contest   Reminder about the national math contest tomorrow at 9:30 am.

 

yip  there will be a yip workshop with the winnipeg foundation at 3:45 wednesday. all yippers need to attend.  

 

Attention Grade 12 students   If you want to be considered for automatic entrance scholarships, make sure you apply to the U of M by February 21st and the U of W by March 1st.

 

grads   any students who didn’t turn in convocation and yearbook forms need to hand them in to ms. walterson asap. blank forms are in the office.

 

the event   formal group rehearsals are taking place this week. the schedule is posted outside of the dance studio.

event tickets are now on sale before school, at lunch and after school in front of the office. ticket prices are as follows;  $15 for reserved on the floor, $12 for reserved inside the catwalk, and $10 in the balcony. Cash or cheques payable to westwood collegiate.

 

JV Boys basketball  There will be a practice Wednesday from 8-9:30 pm.

 

boys hockey   the boys lost a close one last night to lorette. their next home game is thursday at 3:50, and they’d like to see lots of fans.

 

girls hockey   just a reminder that there will be a team lunch tomorrow.  Please bring a lunch

 

Indoor Track practice wednesday and Thursday at 3:30.

 

badminton   Badminton Practice for tonight at 8:20 pm is cancelled tonight. Also anybody who has yet to sign up for the school badminton team is asked to go to room 117 at 3:30 today.
