late start tuesdays   Late start will resume on Tuesday February 11th.

 

Galapagos Islands - Ecuador Trip  There will be a meeting for all students registered for the Galapagos Islands trip AND all students interested in attending the trip on Tuesday, February 11, in room 219 at noon.

 

international students   INternational students, there will be a welcome back lunch on Monday Feb. 10 in the foods room at 12:10, plan to attend!

 

visual  arts   First Semester Visual Arts students need to pick up their portfolios by Friday, February 14th or they will be recycled.

 

grad photos   they take place next week in the theatre. sign up for a sitting time outside of room 207. make sure you check your semester 2 schedule and sign up on a spare.

 

post-secondary tours   Gr 12s, Post-secondary tours are fast approaching. Take this opportunity to get a feel for what college or university will be like. Red River's tour is Tues, Feb 18th from noon - 3:00, U of W is Wed, Feb 19th from 9:00-2:00 and U of M is Thur, Feb 20th from 9:00 - 2:00.  You can pick up permission forms and parking information from Ms Bennett's office.  Forms are due back by Friday, Feb 14th.

 

Envirothon  Are you interested in outdoor science and like competition?  If yes, the Envirothon is for you.  Please attend an information meeting in room 219 at noon on Monday, February 10.

 

graphic tech   Graphic Technology and Photography students from the first semester classes can pick up their portfolios from Mr. Cichosz in room 210 during lunch hour.

 

Attention Grade 12 students   If you want to be considered for automatic entrance scholarships, make sure you apply to the U of M by February 21st and the U of W by March 1st.

 

girls soccer   they need to be dismissed at 2:10 pm for their game friday.

 

boys hockey   congratulations to the boys who defeated west kildonan 4-3 last night. next home game is monday at 3:50 at kw.

 

girls hockey     Congratulations to the girls hockey team who for the first time in the programs history clinched first place in their division the girls are now 17-1.  What is more outstanding is that they did last night with only 8 players beating the second place team in a shootout.  Nikki had 2 goals to tie the game and then scored the winning goal in the shootout.

 

The Warriors out shot Selkirk 45 to 33!!

 

Our next game is Feb 12 at 2:30pm where students can pay 2.00 to their period 6 teachers to cheer our girls on as they have only 2 games left.  Prizes and food will be given out to the loudest fans at the game.

 

cheerleading   congratulations to our cheerleaders who placed second in their tournament over the weekend.

 

 

basketball   Congratulations to the jv girls bball team in their 49-33 win over Sturgeon. There is a team meeting in Ms Eyjolfson's room at 12:03 today. All members of the team must attend the meeting.

 

curling   ww1 and the girls – practices february 6, 10 & 13 at 4 pm at assiniboine.  please pick up your jackets from mr. stairs today.
