Due to provincial exams, late start
Tuesdays will be cancelled for the month of January. Late start will resume on
Tuesday February 4th.

extreme weather Metro superintendents check the weather in the
morning and make a determination as to whether or not buses are cancelled for
the day in the Metro area. -45 degrees Celsius or colder (with wind chill) is
one of the determining factors. Once a decision is made to cancel school buses,
a synrevoice message will then be sent out to all parents and principals. The
news media is also alerted to cancellations and Division websites are updated
to reflect any announcement. Parents of bussed students can then determine
whether or not they want to send/drive their children to school.

tuesday – wear blue for mental health awareness.

wednesday – retro day with rock band at lunch in the
theatre
thursday – tie dye day. twister at lunch
friday – holiday wear day with rock the halls from
12-1:30 in the theatre.
Due to Friday's "Rock the Halls" event in
the Theatre, afternoon classes will be shortened as follows:
Lunch (Rock the Halls Event): 12:05 - 1:30
Period 5: 1:30 - 2:30
Period 6: 2:30 - 3:30
galapagos islands our school
is considering a tour of the galapagos islands in march of 2015. there will be
a parent information evening on monday, december 16th at 6pm in our
theatre.

help will take place every Tues and Wed at lunch in room 115 from 12:15 to
1:00. All students are welcome.

7:45 and Thursday at 3:30.
girls hockey Congratulations
to the girls hockey team who finished fourth in the kenora classic. The girls
played some of the top teams in Ontario and represented the school well.
Just a reminder that the girls have their alumni game
this Thursday at 330 girls are to be dismissed at 3 for their game.
boys hockey congrats to
the boys who won by a score of 3-1 last night against the second place lorette
scorpions. next game is monday at home at 3:50.
congratulations to kurtis brakel and talen carty for
their selection to the all-star game. mr. thiessen and mr. smukowich were asked
to coach the all star team.

semifinals tuesday, finals Wednesday
basketball Congratulations to the jv girls basketball team on
their second place finish in the University of Manitoba tournament. The girls
played extremely well winning their pool and losing the final to a team from
Regina. The jv girls practice will be at 8 pm Monday instead of 6. Please let
Ms Eyjolfson know if you can't make it.
