Our school has set up this blog for our daily
announcements. Those interested can go to the following site and sign up to get
our announcements sent directly to their email account.
blood bus there’s a blood drive at oak park feb. 22. the
bus will leave at 10:45, and be back by 1:oo. sign up on the student council
board.
band Best of luck to our bands
as they head off to the Optimist Band festival at the Convention centre this
week. All 4 of our concert bands are in
the festival and we have a group performing every night this week.
Tonight the Gr 10 Concert Band plays at
6:25 p.m., the Gr. 9 Concert Band plays tomorrow at 3:15 p.m., the Gr. 11
Concert Band plays at 8:05 p.m. on Thursday night and we round off the festival
with Gr. 12 Concert Band at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
As well, a vast number of the Gr. 12
Concert Band members are volunteering to help with the tear down of the
festival Friday night.

improv there is an improv show
tonight in the theatre at 7 pm. admission is only $2. come support your improv
team!
the great escape
ib students – get your permission forms and $10 in to the office asap.
the event
it’s march 16th. tickets are on sale every morning, lunch and
after school outside of the office. $15 for the floor, $10 for the balcony. there are sign up sheets for grade 11
volunteers on the student council board in the front foyer. grade 12 students are asked to bring in $5 to
be used for prizes, or a prize. you can bring this to the office.
harlem shake
it will take place february 22nd at lunch in the gym. Students wanting to take
part need to complete a media release form. remember – be creative with your
costumes! staff are welcome to participate as well.
yip There will be a YIP meeting
this Friday @ 7:45 am. We will be
starting the process of arranging site visits to charities.
canadian battlefields tour For
all of the students who are interested in the Canadian Battlefields European
Tour, there will be a parent meeting on Thursday, February 21 at 7:00. Representatives from EF TOURS will be in
attendance to answer any questions.
gym riot
students interested in participating can sign up on the student council
board – either as a single, or as a partner or group.
course selection guides are available in the office. students
are reminded to hand in their completed registration forms, and if they haven’t
already done so, pick up report cards.
post-secondary tours pick up a map from the fish table in ms.
bennett’s waiting room for info about parking and attendance.
math extra help
mondays and thursdays in room 115.
Racketlon
is our next intramural. Anyone interested in playing Badminton,
Indoor Tennis and Table Tennis at lunch please read the information on the
bulletin board outside the gym.

basketball Congrats
to the varsity girls basketball team for a huge win against garden city in the
third place game. Special congratulations to Kendall for her buzzer beater shot
and to Mariah for getting a tournament
all star.
