exam schedule   it’s available online or in the office. There is also a form that needs to be submitted to the office if you are going to be away during exams.

 

Parent Council   The next meeting is May 25th at 7pm.

 

michael  congratulations to Mike for placing in the Top 10 in Manitoba on the national Canadian Applied Physics exam. This exam was written by 1000 of the top physics students in Canada. He will be honoured along with the 9 other top scores at the U of M physics department on June 5th.

 

bike locks   students who bike to school are strongly encouraged to purchase a u-lock, as chain locks are very easy to cut and there have been attempted thefts throughout the division.

 

dancescapes  it takes place june 11 & 12 at 7:30pm at mtyp at the forks. tickets are $13 and are available through out website.

 

pride Parade   Students walking in the Pride Parade should meet at the Leg at 9:30 AM on June 4th, as the times have changed this year. Students need to have their t-shirt money in to Mrs. Teichroew by Tuesday if you want a Westwood Pride shirt!

westfest   it’s may 26th. sign up on the student council board.

volunteer opportunity   Anyone interested in making some money or receiving volunteer hours is to see Mr Hiebert as he is looking for hockey timekeepers and people to play music at home games.

 

Outdoor track   There will be an outdoor track practice today at 3:30.

 

Divisional track meet   Students that are helping out today with the divisional track meet are asked to please meet in the gym following announcements.

 

Push-up challenge   Congratulations to all who participated in our 30 day push-up challenge from April 17th to May 16.  Sixty five participants completed a grand total of 65207 push-ups.  Way to go! 

All participants were entered in a prized draw for a $25 Starbucks gift card.  The winner is Erica!  Congratulations Erica!  Please see Mr. Sdrolias to collect your prize!
