exam stress   Ms. Bennett (our guidance counsellor) and Ms. Bonk (our school psychologist) are putting on lunch info sessions this week and next, open to all students to learn about Exam Stress, Good Study Strategies and Creating a Study Plan to help you do your best for your upcoming exams. If interested, please see the poster and sign up sheet on the door of Room 106, across from the caf. The first session is this Thursday, from 12:30-1--- focus will be on quick and effective tips for overcoming test anxiety.

 

english exams   grade 12 exams begin tuesday – some classes have been relocated.

 

grad committee   there is a meeting tuesday at lunch in room 207.

 

paintuary   see the posters around the school. due date for submissions is february 10.

 

matchmakers   there are blank forms in the office for students who didn’t yet fill one out.

 

exam schedule is available in the office or on our website.

 

winter choral concert   “sure on this shining night” - it’s january 19^th in our theatre from 7-8:15pm.

 

arts advisory meeting   There will be a meeting of the WCAAG ( Westwood Collegiate Arts Advisory Group) this Thursday January 12th at 6:30 pm in the library. 

Any interested parents of children in Arts programs at Westwood are welcome to attend.

 

attendance   students are reminded that if they are going to miss 3three or more days of school, they need to fill out the appropriate paperwork, which is available online or in the office.

also, if students are late, they must receive a late slip from the office.

 

extra help   room 117 is open tuesdays and wednesdays from 12:15 to 1pm for extra help and study time for all subjects! 

 

ultimate   There will be an Ultimate Practice for both teams on Thursday from 5:30-6:55 at Lincoln. Please email Ms. Stark if you can't make it.

 

intramural dodgeball   intramural dodgeball sign up outside gym. deadline is Wednesday at noon.

 

girls hockey   Congratulations to Alicia and Jamie who were named to the Jets all-star game for the wwhshl. congratulations goes out to Claudia who was named to the vets all star game. Great job ladies.
