bikes   students should have “u-locks” on their bikes to prevent theft.

 

addictions awareness   This year November 14-18 is MB Addictions awareness week.  Did you know according to the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse alcohol is the number one substance used by youth in Canada.  Did you know that the younger you start to use a substance the more increased at risk you are of having issues with it when you are older?  We know alcohol can cause harm but it doesn't have to.

there will be a presentation this afternoon – friends for life. afternoon class times will be shortened.  1:11 – 1:55, 1:58 – 2:25.

make club   Are you interested in 3D design such as character modelling, jewellery or parts design, 3D printing, coding, electronics, robotics, drones, CNC, and automation? Do you like to make stuff like you might see on pinterest or instructables? Do you want to learn to control LED lights to add to your projects? Have you heard of Arduino and Raspberry Pi and want to know what they are and what they can do? Do you have a cool idea for a project, but don't know where to start? Do you want to meet new people and share your ideas? If so, come check out Make club. Where you can do all of the above and more!

europe trip   a reminder to all participants that all forms have to be handed in to mr. aguirre, even if your passport form can’t be completed.

 

rock the halls   it’s december 22^nd. the sign up is on the student council board in front of the office until thursday, november 24^th.

 

craft sale   The sign-up sheet for the grad craft sale is now up outside of room 207. We need as many grads as possible to volunteer for this event. Please come by and check the schedule and sign up for one or more shifts on the weekend of November 24-26.

we are looking for donations of baking and silent auction prizes to complement the craft/bake sale. more information is available on our website.

volleyball   Congratulations to the Varsity Girls for winning their semi-final game against Portage last night in a Thrilling 5 set match!  Thanks to all that came out to support, we need everyone out tomorrow night to cheer them on in the final at 6:45 at Shaftesbury against St. Mary's.
