grade level meetings   monday period 1 – 9 & 10, period 2 – 11 & 12.

 

grad committee   our first parent meeting regarding grad will take place wednesday, september 14th at 6pm in our theatre. important dates will be discussed, and we will be looking for chairs of our craft show and our safe grad.

 

Aquatic Science   Due to the weather and grade level meeting this morning, the field trip to Woodhaven has been cancelled.  Please report to class period two with all of your permission forms.

 

late start tuesdays begin october 4.

 

student council   if any students want to join student council, pick up an application form in the office.

 

senior shirts   if you haven’t ordered one yet, there are order forms in the office. orders and payment are due back by september 30.

 

peer support/gsa   The Westwood United (Peer Support and GSA) group will be meeting at noon in the library on Wednesday, Sept 14th. Everyone is welcome to attend! Students with peer support training are expected to attend.

 

student parking   students can park in the student lot (not including spots 102-112, which are allocated to staff) until September 18^th without a pass.

On september 17^th, you can go to schoolcashonline to pay the parking fee and bring your receipt to the office on the 18^th. You will be given a parking tag to display on your rear view mirror.

 

digital arts   The Digital Arts Club will have their first short meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 14 after school in room 210. New members are welcome. If you have questions see Mr. Cichosz in room 210.

 

volunteer opportunity   KWCC canteen is looking for volunteers. Come to the office or see Ms. bennett for more information.

 

picture day is september 13^th. order forms are available in the office.

 

intramurals   our first intramural is soccer – there will be a rec league and a competitive league. sign up outside of the gym before friday at 3:30.

 

Ultimate   Tryouts for this year's ultimate team(s) will take place on Tuesday and Thursday this week (September 13 & 15) at 4:15 on the Westwood field.  Check the information posters around the school or see Mr. Shoesmith for more information.

 

Cheerleading   Any students interested in cheerleading are asked to meet in Mrs. Nemetchek's Room (room 115) on Tuesday at lunch hour for a very brief meeting.  Tryouts will start on Monday Sept 19th at 3:40 in the dance studio.

 

Curling   Any students interested in curling this year are asked to meet in Mrs. Nemetchek's room on Wednesday Sept 14th at lunch hour for a meeting.

 

girls hockey   anyone interested in making some easy money or receiving volunteer hours  - the girls hockey team is looking for timekeepers. See mr Hiebert in room 217.
