semester 2 timetable changes   students should be seeing one of the guidance counsellors now or during exam week to make changes.

super bowl tickets   grads are reminded to get your tickets back to the office asap.

Grade 11 ib science   period one meeting friday morning in the theatre for all grade 11 IB science students. all must attend.

drive   Drive is hosting a Coffee house at the Daily Grind on Sunday, February 22nd from 7-9pm and would love to showcase Westwood's amazing talent. If you are interested in performing, sign up outside the office on the student council board!

Gym riot sign up sheets are also on the student council board. Be sure to sign up either by yourself or with a friend by Friday, January 23^rd.

Need volunteer hours? Ms. Overby's room will be used as a quiet study space during lunch all next week. If you would like to help tutor other students, be sure to sign up outside her room!

Day of Pink   The Day of Pink, which is an awareness day against discrimination and bullying, will take place on April 8 this year.  T-shirt orders for the Day of Pink will be taken all next week in front of the cafeteria at lunch.  The t-shirts are only $5, so be sure to order one and wear it with pride on April 8.  Orders are due Friday, January 23.

choral   our winter choral concert takes place january 22^nd in our theatre.

cafeteria   Thursday – bbq pulled pork, deep fried pickles.

grad photos   they are February 9-13. sign up outside of room 207. cost is $60, which includes the sitting fee and your grad gown rental. Students and parents can go to schoolcashonline to pay for photos in advance – there is a link on our website.

anime   Enter the Anime drawing contest advertised around the school. Registration is due by January 16th so see Mrs. Teichroew or Mr. Cichosz for a registration form. Great prizes are up for grabs so don't miss out!

basketball  A massive shout out goes out to the varsity boys basketball team who played in a thriller to Grant Park last night. The boys lost by 1 point in a super competitive and intense showdown. A special recognition goes out to Josh and Ethan for their great offensive and defensive performances!

rugby   anyone selling fundraising cards for the girls rugby team needs to get them in to ms. ammeter before friday, january 23rd .

hockey  Good luck to our girls hockey team as they take vincent massey today at Keith Bodley. they are to be dismissed at 2:45.  Come out and cheer our girls on to their 5th consecutive win.

Just a reminder that team pictures will also be taken today at 3:25pm so please dismiss the girls at 2:45pm. Team lunch will take place today and lunch is provided.

congrats to our boys who defeated murdoch mackay last night by a score of 8-3.  shout out to talen – he led the team with 4 goals. boys hockey workout at noon.

curling   there will be a boys practice on Monday at Charleswood for those who can make it.
