line and in the office. please pick one up, check for conflicts, and report any
to mr. braun.
drive Drive is hosting a Coffee house at the Daily
Grind on Sunday, February 22nd from 7-9pm and would love to showcase Westwood's
amazing talent. If you are interested in performing, sign up outside the office
on the student council board!
Gym riot sign up sheets are also on the student
council board. Be sure to sign up either by yourself or with a friend by
Friday, January 23rd.
Need volunteer hours? Ms. Overby's room will be used
as a quiet study space during lunch all next week. If you would like to help
tutor other students, be sure to sign up outside her room!
grad photos they are February 9-13.
sign up outside of room 207. cost is $60, which includes the sitting fee and
your grad gown rental. Students and parents can go to schoolcashonline to pay
for photos in advance – there is a link on our website.
Safeteen continuing
today, ALL GR 10 STUDENTS will attend 1 of 8 Safeteen presentations. There will be 2 presentations in the morning
and 2 in the afternoon. A list of names
is posted at the office to determine which presentation you will attend. Please
see Ms Bennett is you have any questions.
All morning sessions of safeteen have been moved back
to 9:30, student should be attending pd1 and will be called out of class.
anime Enter the Anime drawing contest advertised
around the school. Registration is due by January 16th so see Mrs. Teichroew or
Mr. Cichosz for a registration form. Great prizes are up for grabs so don't
miss out!
basketball A much-deserved shout out
goes out to the varsity boys basketball team for a valiant effort against #1
Daniel Mac last night. The boys were within 9 points late in the game but
unfortunately could not close it out. A massive thank you goes out to the huge
crowd of Westwood fans that came out and supported. You guys are the best! Practice is moved to 3:30 today.
rugby anyone selling fundraising cards for the
girls rugby team needs to get them in to ms. ammeter before friday, january
23rd .
hockey Congratulations to the girls hockey team who
defeated the first place kelvin clippers by a score of 4-3.Goals were scored by
nikki, amanda, and alicia who had two inclduing the game winner. Just a reminder that there is dryland today

intramural dodgeball brick squad vs tribe,
abusement park vs f7
curling congrats to ww1 boys who beat vm2 to finish
the season undefeated. the ww2 boys lost to vm1 but gained a playoff berth. ww
girls continuted their winning way by beating st. james – they are undefeated
this year. congrats to all three teams which are in the playoffs feb. 9 &
10.
