aida dvds   tuesday will be the last day to order a dvd or merchandise for aida. see mr. toms for details.

expressions   our dance choreography show, “expressions” is this wednesday and thursday from 7-8pm in our theatre – free of cost.

spirit week is december 15-19    monday – pj day with fruitcake and eggnog competition at lunch.

Tuesday – holiday hats and ugly sweaters, carolling in the caf at lunch, “A Christmas story” being shown in the caf from 6-8 pm. pizza, drinks and snacks will be sold.

Wednesday – jocks vs nerds dress up, ornament decorating in the caf.

Thursday – christmas vacation wear (appropriate beachwear), broomball tournament in the pm

friday – holiday cheer day, rock the halls at lunch.

grade level meetings will be tuesday morning during period 1 and 2.

graphic tech   Graphic Tech is featuring in the Cafeteria the digital artworks of Brietta  and Rebecca .

mission to mexico   The Mission to Mexico Team has raised enough money to donate 10 Christmas Hampers to the students and families of  the School of Champions, who live in the poorest communities around Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Thank you to all the Westwood students and staff who supported theirpla fundraiser!

toy challenge   mr. schmeichel’s leadership class presents westwood’s first ever gender wars! girls, boys and teachers are asked to collect gently used toys which will be donated towards the fire fighter toy drive. there will be boxes labelled boys, girls and teachers in front of the office until december 17^th.

ski trip    if anyone has ski trip forms and deposits, please hand them in to Mr. Sdrolias.

basketball   Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team for placing 7th in a 16 team tournament this past weekend. Special congrats go out to Brianna Hayward for her tournament all star.

congrats to the vb basketball team for a successful tournament in brandon. they played some tough competition but played some great basketball and are poised to have a great season.

hockey   Congratulations to the girls hockey team who won the b side finals against sturgeon beating them 7-0. The girls played some of the top teams and competed hard every game.

Just a reminder that the girls have practice today at 330 and are to be dismissed at 3:15.

boys – congrats to the boys hockey team – they brought home the 3^rd place plaque in the crocus plains division. they defeated some very strong teams, including sjr1. well done!
