staff appreciation week   Parent Council would like to send out a reminder that March 6 - 10 is staff appreciation week.  Please see parent council news on our website for more information.

 

optimist   Another awesome performance by our jazz bands at Optimist Jazz Festival. Invited to Nationals (did we expect anything less). High demands in the clinics and our students rose to the occasion once again. A big thank you to Mr. Edwards for all of his time, talents and dedication.

 

wcaag   There will be a WCAAG meeting held on Thursday March 9 at 6:30pm in the Westwood Collegiate Library.  FLOTA preparations will be the main agenda items.  All interested Parents are welcome to attend.

 

course selection forms   they are due back with registration forms to our school office asap.

 

mlcc   representatives from manitoba liquor control commission will be here march 23^rd to speak to grade 12 students at 10am regarding safe grad. they will be back at 6pm that day to speak to parents.

 

the event   The Event will take place on March 18th, 7pm—tickets will be on sale february 27^th in front of the office at lunch. $15 for tickets on the floor, and $12 on the balcony.  Performing students involved be sure to attend all rehearsals.  Additional parent and grad info can be found on the school website.

all grade 12 students are to bring in $5 for the silent auction. you can bring it to the office, or to joanna, hunter or alissa.

 

there is a grade 11 volunteer sign up sheet on the student council board. sign up by Friday.

 

grad hoodies   if you would like to purchase one, they will be on sale next week at lunch in front of the office. there is a limited number – first come, first served. $35.

 

art house films   they’re back for semester 2!  movies run every Wednesday at 4pm. permission slips are available outside of the drama studio.  “the godfather” is next week’s film.

 

make club is on thursdays after school in room 218. come try some 3d printing!

 

extra help   room 117 is open tuesdays and wednesdays.

 

girls hockey   Just a reminder that girls taking part in the rookie skate next week are to bring their money on monday to Mr Hiebert.

 

rugby   girls rugby practice is March 6^th at 5:30pm. boys – 7pm on monday.
