theatre   the theatre is booked tuesday at lunch for keanna’s short film presentation.

 

career symposium for grade 11s.   it’s at the convention centre march 15. permission forms are available in ss, and due back monday.

 

pep rally   There will be a pep rally on Friday to ACKNOWLEDGE SEMESTER two sports and some recent accomplishments.  The event will be shorter than first semester and will also include two gym riot events. Class times: P1 - 8:30-9:25, P2 - 9:30-10:25, P3 - 10:30-11:20.

Classes will be called down to the gym starting at 11:20.

festival   congrats to camryn – she won the musical theatre category at the winnipeg music festival yesterday.

 

wcaag   There will be a WCAAG meeting on Thursday March 9 at 6:30pm in the Westwood Collegiate Library.  FLOTA preparations will be the main agenda items.  All interested Parents are welcome to attend.

 

grad news:  mlcc representatives from manitoba liquor control commission will be here march 23^rd to speak to grade 12 students at 10am regarding safe grad. they will be back at 6pm that day to speak to parents.

 

grad retakes will take place april 18^th. sign up outside of room 207.

 

grad pancake breakfast is April 9^th from 9:30-11:30 at DJay’s. we need 25 volunteers to start at 8:45 am. tickets are $15 and available from student and parent committee members, and sold outside of the office at lunch and after school until march 24^th.

 

the event   The Event will take place on March 18th, 7pm—tickets will be on sale february 27^th in front of the office at lunch. $15 for tickets on the floor, and $12 on the balcony.  Performing students involved be sure to attend all rehearsals.  Additional parent and grad info can be found on the school website.

all grade 12 students are to bring in $5 for the silent auction. you can bring it to the office, or to joanna, hunter or alissa.

 

art house films   they’re back for semester 2!  movies run every Wednesday at 4pm. permission slips are available outside of the drama studio.  “the godfather” is this week’s film.

 

make club is on thursdays after school in room 218. come try some 3d printing!

basketball   The JV Girls Basketball team is having a mandatory meeting in Ms. Klassen's room at the beginning of lunch today. That's a mandatory meeting for the JV girls basketball team in Ms. Klassen's room at 12:05 today.

 

curling   all members of both boys curling teams and the girls team to meet in room 115 on Tuesday at lunch.

 

badminton   there will be a badminton tryout today at lunch for all grade 11 and 12 boys and girls.
