remembrance day service   our school’s remembrance day service will take place Wednesday, november 9th at 11am. members of the public are welcome to attend.

 

spirit week   monday – costume day, with costume contest at lunch

tuesday – twin day, 3-legged race at lunch

Wednesday – western day, donut-eating challenge at lunch

Thursday – throwback thursday, retro gaming at lunch

Friday – pj day, pillow fighting contest at lunch.

student services news   - The University Fair will be held on Nov 3rd at Sturgeon Heights. It will be hosting a record number of universities from around the country this year. Interested gr 11 and 12 students are to sign up in Student Services.

- Lunch and Learn will begin in November. This is an opportunity to learn about possible careers and speak with professionals about their chosen field; a different career will be presented every 2 weeks. Up coming presentations for November are Engineering, Canadian Reserves and Skilled Trades. Please see Ms Bennett for more info and to sign up for any of the presentations.

 

cafeteria   watch for the special halloween treats all WEEK.

 

extra help   room 117 is open tuesdays and wednesdays from 12:15 to 1pm for extra help and study time for all subjects!

 

wcaag   The Westwood Collegiate Arts Advisory Group, which is a parent group that supports the performing and visual arts in the school, will have their annual "meet and greet" on Thursday, November 3/16 at 7PM in the drama room. All parents, experienced and new, are invited to attend!

 

hedges yearbooks   are ready to be picked up.

 

picture retakes   are october 28^th in the morning. pictures must be returned, or there will be a $5 fee.

 

grad clothing    grad clothing will be available to order from Oct 20th - 28th in the morning, at noon, and after school in front of the office. Please see website and posters around the school for further information.

 

open gym basketball   Open gym basketball continues Friday at 3:30 pm and Monday morning at 7:15 am. Workouts are also taking place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 pm.

 

girls indoor soccer    there will be a girls indoor soccer meeting at 12:03 in Room 124.

 

intramural soccer   friday:  internationals vs squad, eom1 vs big boys

 

intramural polo   sign up in front of the gym by october 29^th at noon.
