volunteer opportunity   There are a number of volunteer opportunities at the Red River Ex.  If you are interested, see the posting outside student services. 

day of pink   it’s april 13th.  wear your pink shirt to show support for our school’s anti-bullying initiatives.

cafeteria   thursday – keilbasa and perogies.

pancake breakfast   The grad pancake breakfast fundraiser will be held on Sunday, April 17th from 9am to 11am. Tickets are available from Mr.Braun in the office. We are in need of volunteers for that event from 8-11am. a Sign up sheet can be found outside of Ms. Walterson's room, rm207. Please sign up asap.

Gowns for Grads   The period 3 challenge continues this week to raise funds and donations for Gowns for Grads. Please see your period 3 teacher for rules and prizes.

community service hours   Grade 12 students applying for awards and scholarships are reminded to submit their community involvement activity log forms.  Students need 40 hours logged to qualify for a St. James-Assiniboia Diploma.  Log forms are available in the office and, when signed by supervisor, can be returned to the office.

rotary career symposium   Grade 11 students who are interested in attending the Rotary Career Symposium on May 4th are to pick up a permission form in the Student Services area.  If you have questions, please ask Mr. Fewer or Ms. Sheldon.

drive 4ur school   our grad committee is sponsoring this event – come out wednesday, april 20th from 9-6 to test drive a ford. our grads can earn up to $6000.   see the poster on our website or around our school.

career opportunity   anyone interested in midwifery is to see mr. shoesmith about a tour of the winnipeg birthing centre.

summer job   Are you looking for a summer job?  Please see information regarding Green Team applications outside Student Services.  If you have questions, see Ms. Sheldon for more information.

flota   This year's FLOTA presentation 'The Artistic Brain' will be held Monday April 11th.  the event is now sold out!

flota is looking for students who need community service hours for 3 hours in the evening of April 11. Your job will be to serve beverages to our guests. This is a great way to see your talented classmates perform.  if you’re interested, see mr. white in the drama room.

go hungry 24 hour famine   ib & drive are hosting the fundraiser for rwanda and east africa. it will take place april 21st. sign up on the IB board in front of the office.

badminton   Thursday – all doubles at shaftsbury at 4pm.

rugby   Boys rugby practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday next week starting at 5:00 PM.

outdoor track & field   All students interested in competing in outdoor Track and Field, there will be a meeting Thursday at 12:05 in the fitness centre.  If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Sdrolias or Ms. Sheldon for information.
