early dismissal this afternoon.

sources of strength   the sources of strength support group is initiating a “thank your mentor” campaign. the purpose of this campaign is to recognize and appreciate any positive mentors we have in our lives. in anyone’s life, there is that special person or persons who we can trust and go to for advice, whether it’s a parent, teacher or older student. you can pick up a special sources of strength thank you from the office or any sos peer leader. if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask an sos peer leader or mrs. sheldon.

interruptions this morning   safeteen presentations for grade 10 students will be starting at 9:30. students will be called – girls to the cave and boys to room 215. presentations will run until thursdsay.

emergent expressions   our dance department is showcasing their student choreography on december 16th and 17th at 7pm in our theatre. admission is only $2 at the door.

broomball   our annual broomball tournament for Jump Start canada is coming up thursday, december 17th. it will take place next door at kw.   donations of new or gently used sports equipment will be collected outside of the office.

art house films   this wednesday at 4:30, we will presenting edward scissorhands in the theatre. pick up a permission form outside of the drama room.

Spirit Week   it takes place this week, December 14th – 18th.
Monday – Pjay day with Santa Treat eating contests in the caf at lunch.
Tuesday – Formal Day. Santa pictures for $2 in the caf at lunch.
Wednesday – Red & Green Day. Activities in the caf at lunch.
Thursday – Flannel Day. Christmas Amazing Race in the caf at lunch.
Firday – Ugly Festive Sweater Day. Rock the Halls in the theatre at lunch from 12:1:30. Afternoon class start times are 1:30 and 2:30, with dismissal at 3:30.  there is a mandatory meeting of all participants thursday at 12:30 in the student council room in the back of the library.

exams   semester 1 final exam schedules are available online or in the office.  if you have a conflict, see mr. braun.

cafeteria   wednesday is national chocolate-covered anything day.

school supplies drive   please bring in unused, packaged school supplies to the table in front of the office in the morning and at lunch. exchange supplies for tickets for a chance to win gift cards - $75, $50 or $25. the drive ends on wednesday.

gym riot   it’s march 24th. sign up on the student council board until dec. 16th.

popcorn sales   every friday, grad committee will be selling kernels popcorn outside of the cafeteria at lunch for only $2 a bag.

basketball   3:30 – vb, 5:30 – vg, 7:30 – jvg

curling   Congratulations to the WW1 boys curling team as they defeated ecole sturgeon heights 10 to 3 last night.  The WW2 boys team lost their first game in a close match against Fort Richmond with a score of 5 to 2.

hockey   Congratulations to Nikki and Alicia who were selected to the WWHSHL Elite All-Star team.
good luck to our boys as they try to remain undefeated vs kildonan east. they will need to be dismissed at 2:30. the game is at 4pm at gateway.

online phys ed   modules due friday at 3:30.
