pride week
this is pride week. our gsa will be giving away a necklace to the
winners of a question each week. answers are in the front foyer. today’s
question is:

fundraiser for siloam
you can pay $2/day to use your cell phone in the hallways from tuesday
to friday. simply check in with wil banner in front of the office each morning
and you will receive a wrist band.
band concert
come out to support your fellow students at our band concert Thursday at
7 pm. setup will be Wednesday at 8:30 pm.
courtyard initiative
there will be a fundraising pasta dinner at DJay’s on June 2nd
from 1:30 – 4 Pm. tickets are only $20, with half going to improve our
courtyard. Tickets are available from the school office.
envirothon Congratulations
to the Westwood Envirothon team for their strong finish at the provincial
competition last weekend at the International Peace Gardens. The team received an excellence award in
rangeland management. If you are
interested in joining the envirothon team for next year's competition, please
see Mr. Shoesmith in room 219.
grad committee
there is a meeting tuesday in room 207.
valedictorian auditions Valedictorian
auditions will take place on wednesday, at 12:03pm in room 207.
math extra help extra
help monday and thursday at lunch.
athletic banquet The
banquet is June 5th. Any students who have played on a sports team
this year - please see your coach for your sports banquet ticket. additional
tickets can be purchased from mrs. lundgren. janine hanson, olympic silver
medallist, will speak and a meal from calabria market will be served.
boys rugby Boys rugby game today at Bruce. All team members are expected no later than
4:30 on the field.
outdoor track Congratulations
to all members of our outdoor track and field team on a great effort at the
conference championships. The meet was
held last friday at the u of m. Three
members of the team had great performances and will represent Westwood at the
Provincial championships held at the u of m from june 6-8.
Devin Bahauad finished third in the shot
put and FIRST in the javelin; Kyle McCoy finished third in both the 800m and
1500m; and Morgan Hay finished second in high jump. Congrats and good luck!!!
early years track meet
Any students going to the early years track meet on tuesday, May 28
please meet in the gym at the beginning of lunch today for a brief meeting.
