Student Council This is
election week at Westwood. WE have one
team running for executive and you will see their posters around the
school. Speeches will take place on
Thursday at 11:30. Advanced polls will
be open from 3:30-4:00 on Thursday; regular polls will be open from 8:00 -1:00
on friday.
courtyard initiative
there will be a fundraising pasta dinner at DJay’s on June 2nd
from 1:30 – 4 Pm. tickets are only $20, with half going to improve our
courtyard. Tickets are available from the school office.
choral night You
are cordially invited to Solo Night, presented by the Westwood Choral Majors,
on Monday, May 13th, 7PM in the Westwood Theatre. A silver collection will be taken at the
door.
dance congrats to our dance
students who performed in the ballet category at the provincial dance festival
and were awarded silver and high silver. congratulations to ms. metelski and her
dancers and good luck tomorrow in your last performance.
band Congratulations goes out
the Sr. Jazz band who opened for the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra's final concert of
the season on Mother's Day. Their
outstanding performance was the talk of the afternoon and the audience
responded with a huge standing ovation. Well done Sr. Jazz.

may 25th! sign up outside of 207 to work at the grad car wash

bring in your pennies as well as other coins in support of siloam
mission. either hand them in to your 3rd period class, or if you’re
on a spare, bring them to the office. you can win a pizza party for your class.

the order deadline is May 15. orders can be dropped off in the office.
valedictorian auditions Valedictorian
auditions will take place on Tuesday, May 28th at 12:03pm in room 207. There
will be an initial meeting on Wed, May 22nd at 12:03pm in room 207 to go over
the guidelines and expectations.

Soccer is every Wednesday and Thursday morning at 7:30 AM
girls hockey Just
a reminder that there is dryland today at 3:40pm. All girls are to have their jerseys washed
and returned no later than friday.
canoe trip Any
student who took Outdoor Living in the 1st semester and is interested in the
canoe trip please see Mr. Schmeichel for forms and information as soon as possible.
Next Wednesday will be the deadline to have forms in.
beach volleyball A
reminder to all beach volleyball players that there is a practice tuesday at
3:45 in the gym
dodgeball for siloam mission
there will be a dodgeball tournament may 23 at lunch. sign up outside of
the gym. Admission fee will be $2, payable on may 23.
boys rugby practices
mondays & wednesdays from 4:30 – 6. Boys
rugby schedule is available in the office for pick up. First game is on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 at
Bruce Middle School.
