Paint Night   thursday, february 25th. there are a few seats left. 

arthouse films   this wednesday we are showing “my winnipeg”, directed by Guy Maddin.  The film starts at 4:30. See Mr. White for permission forms.

APEX Talent Show   March 1st @ noon hour ....$1.00.  March 3rd @ 7pm .....$2.00 and you will be entered to win a ticket to dancescapes.
In the Theatre.   They will be performing a variety of talents from standup comedy, singing and dance.  They will also perform their Pep Rally dance, so make sure you come out and support!

europe trip   There will be a MANDATORY meeting at noon in room 214 on THURSDAY February 25th for all students going on the Europe trip this March.  All students MUST attend.  

university application   Attention all grade 12s interested in applying to the University of Manitoba or the University of Winnipeg: The deadline for early application is fast approaching, March 1st - any student interested in attending an application seminar in the library on Wednesday February 24th at noon and Thursday February 25th at noon needs to sign up outside Mr. Fewer's office in student services - you'll need to bring a valid credit card to the session.

symphonic band   please bring in your optimist forms asap.

Job opportunity   Job opportunities are available through Elections Manitoba for this upcoming Provincial Election. These are paid positions available to grade 12s on a first come first served basis. The deadline for applications is March 4th. See Mr. Fewer if you are interested.

Job Fair   This Saturday, February 27th 2016, HMCS CHIPPAWA, Winnipeg's Naval Reserve unit is holding its annual JOB FAIR from 11 Am to 3 Pm.  This event showcases what the Naval Reserve does here in our local area, and across Canada.  This is also a great opportunity for high school students aged 16 and older, in grade 11 or higher to be able to secure excellent part-time and summer employment.  Students that join have the opportunity to make over $7000.00 for this summer, as well as receive tuition reimbursement for post-secondary education, travel Canada and so much more.  Please see the guidance counsellor or student services for further information.

grad   turn in your yearbook and convocation comments to the office asap.

the event   tickets will be on sale at lunch days 1,3 and 5. tickets are $15 on the floor, $12 in the balcony and $10 with the donation of a grad dress.
if you are in grade 11 and have not signed up to volunteer, please do so asap. the signup sheet is outside of the dance studio.
grads are asked to donate $7 and parents are asked to donate a silent auction prize – all donations can be handed in to the office. hopefully, enough money will be raised at the event that grads don’t have to pay for their safe grad tickets.
all-star auditions – open audition for any grade 12 participants who are interested in being part of an all-star number – tuesday, march 1st at 3:30 in the dance studio.


school dance    is march 11, with a tropical theme. tickets are $10 and available in front of the office next week.

grad    eph apparel will be here wednesday, march 16th from 4:30-8pm for fittings for custom order suits. suit, shirt and ties is $350.

minneapolis arts trip   There are two spots open for girls to go on the Minneapolis Arts trip in April. If you are interested please see Mrs. Teichroew for more information.

go hungry 24 hour famine   ib & drive are hosting the fundraiser for rwanda and east africa. it will take place april 21st. sign up on the IB board in front of the office.

Construction career expo   Students interested in careers in construction have the opportunity to attend the Construction Career Expo on May 11th 2016. This is an excellent opportunity to make connections and participate in demonstrations in almost 100 different trades. Students wishing to attend need to see Mr. Fewer before the end of the semester.

curling   the windup is this thursday at Boston pizza. start time has chanced to 4pm.

baseball     There will be a mandatory baseball meeting for all athletes interested in playing this Spring on Wednesday, February 24th at noon in the cave. Please see Mr. Schmeichel before Wednesday morning if you can't make it.

boys hockey   their next game is wednesday – they will be dismissed at noon.
