grad picture retakes    grad picture retake are march 14. sign up sheet is now up outside room 207. If students bring their proofs, they do not pay for the sitting fee again. New picture takers require a payment of $60 make out to Westwood Collegiate.

 

rotary career symposium   Grade 11 students, the Rotary Career Symposium is on Tuesday, March 18th and you are all invited to attend.  This is a great opportunity to explore careers, speak to people in the industry, learn what your requirements will be for schooling or training and begin to plan your future.  Permission forms will be available in Ms Bennett's waiting room and will be due back Monday Mar 17.

flota    The Westwood Collegiate Arts Advisory Group is pleased to present” P.O.P. Goes the Arts!” For Love of the Arts Student Showcase on Monday, April 14th, 2014 at Westwood Collegiate.

This year, there will be assigned seating, $13 per ticket, $90 for a table of 8. Tickets will go on sale in the library on Monday, March 10th, 2014. The Gallery will open at 5:30PM, doors to the gym will open at 6pm, the show will start at 7pm. There will be a 50/50 draw as well as a door prize! Light refreshments will be provided; no outside food will be permitted inside the gym.

Please join us in celebrating our talented students.

 

gym riot   All players who signed up for the gym riot have been placed on teams.  Please check the lists on the student council board at the front of the school and note your student and teacher captains.  Listen for meeting times this week.  In order to receive a team t-shirt for the gym riot, players must give $15 and their t-shirt size to their teacher captain.  Late orders will not be accepted.

 

 

basketball   any basketball team member who want to travel to oak park to watch the jvg tomorrow can pick up a permission form in the office. they are due back to mr. schmeichel by noon friday.

 

girls hockey   Congratulations to the girls hockey team who beat West K 6-1 taking the series and putting them in the championship final!

Goals were scored by alicia who had 2 goals, lauren, holly, nikki, and claudia.  The girls play their first game on monday at 3:30pm at the iceplex come out and cheer on your warriors!!!

 

There will be a brief meeting today at lunch for the team

 

open gym badminton  at lunch Friday (open).

 

Intramural 4 on 4 touch football will begin next week. Sign up your team on the bulletin board in front of the gym before Friday.
