late start tuesdays   Due to provincial exams, late start Tuesdays will be cancelled for the month of January. Late start will resume on Tuesday February 11th.

 

chicago trip   The final payment for the Chicago Arts Tour will be $372.00 and is due January 14th/ 2014. Please make payments promptly on line at sjsd.SchoolCashOnline.com.

peer support   there will be a meeting wednesday after school in room 116.

 

the event   Mr. Toms' Event Groups 8 and 9 will begin rehearsals this Sunday.  Attendance is mandatory.

Any grade 12 boys who have signed up for The Event who wish to be part of an ALL BOY routine need to sign up outside of Mr. Toms’ room by this Friday.  Practice times are posted on the sheet.

 

super bowl tickets   grads – get them in to the office asap.

 

extreme weather   Metro superintendents check the weather in the morning and make a determination as to whether or not buses are cancelled for the day in the Metro area. -45 degrees Celsius or colder (with wind chill) is one of the determining factors. Once a decision is made to cancel school buses, a synrevoice message will then be sent out to all parents and principals. The news media is also alerted to cancellations and Division websites are updated to reflect any announcement. Parents of bussed students can then determine whether or not they want to send/drive their children to school.

 

exam schedule   the exam schedule is available in the office or online. Any students with conflicts are to see mr. braun.

 

cafeteria   tuesday – tacos & mexitots, wednesday – pasta with caesar salad with fudge bars for dessert, thursday – foods of the world this month – beginning with chinese food, friday – fingers & fries.
