band   If you weren't there, you missed an amazing evening of Jazz in our theatre last night.  After 3 standing ovations and some Stevie Wonder for an encore, the audience was left calling for more from our wonderful students.  Thanks to everyone in attendance for their support.  A special thank you goes out to Lindsay for her energy and voice and thank you to Mr. Wake for his cameo performance as "Jailhouse" Murphy, the infamous Blues musician. Congratulations to all of the jazz band students involved.

dancescapes   it’s sunday, june 14^th at 7:30pm at the mtyp theatre at the forks. tickets are $12, and available in our school library.

medley madness – choral spring concert this thursday at 7 in the theatre.

library  any outstanding library materials and/or overdue fines have to be cleared as soon as possible. Failure to do so will result in the withholding of report cards and transcripts for grade 12 students.

volunteer opportunity   St James Minor Baseball is hosting PeeWee AAA provincial championships from Friday, July 31 through Sunday August 2 at Optimist Park in St James.  they are looking for volunteers to help out with the canteen, gate, score keeping and pitch counting during the weekend.  If you are interested and available, please contact Kristal Benton at akbenton5@gmail.com.

drive application   pick up an application form in the office, if you want to be part of our drive leadership team next year. They are due back to mr. shoesmith or ms. overby by june 3.

gsa   The GSA is hosting an art contest for all Westwood students. The topic is "endorsing equality and acceptance" and the prize is a $30.00 Subway card. See the posters around the school, or stop by the art room for more details. Contest deadline is June 1st.

soccer  The boy's soccer team will be taking their team pictures at lunch on Wednesday, June 3rd. Bring your team jerseys and shorts (all gear).   

Girls soccer pics will be taken thursday after school.

boys rugby   Boys Rugby team picture will take place on Thursday at 3:30 in the school gym.  All team members please attend.  Reminder to return your jersey to Mr. Braun as soon as possible.

girls rugby   all girls rugby players get out at 3:10 Wednesday for their playoff game against tec voc at 4:55.

athletic banquet   it’s Monday, June 8^th at 4:30. If you’ve paid your $40 athletic fee, you can get a complimentary ticket from mrs. sheldon. If you haven’t paid your fee, tickets are $10 from the office.
